Our spring vacation to Destin couldn't have been much better! It came and went too fast though. We were there for 8 days and loved every minute of it. We spent at least a couple of hours every day sitting on the beach in the sun watching Avery play in the sand or testing the edge of the waves. She loved it all. She really enjoyed going out into the waves in her float. She thought it was funny when they would splash her. Her favorite two things though were chasing the birds and kicking us out of our chairs, so she could climb in and out of them over and over. Tucker, of course, traveled with us and loved his sleeping time while we were gone and napping in the sun that shined in from the balconies. We stayed in a 3 story townhouse on the harbour that had 4 balconies looking out over the water. It was so relaxing to sit out on them and read or have breakfast listening to the waves and birds come and go. We did a lot of shopping and eating too. Our favorite restaurants were Dewey Destin and Louisiana Lagnappe. Oh my gosh! Just writing about them makes me want to go back! haha :) They were amazing and the hushpuppies were the best! It was a very relaxing trip and it was nice to have so much family time the week of my birthday. I am blessed so much and can't get enough of them. When Avery puts her hands on my cheeks and pulls me into a spontaneous hug or kiss, my heart melts all over again. We are blessed with such an amazing, joyful, beautiful and funny daughter! I want time to slow down, so we can enjoy each stage a little bit more.
In the meantime, our house is finally on the market. It's been almost 3 weeks and we have had 4 showings so far. I am not a very patient person, so this is going to be a trying journey for sure. We aren't in a hurry to sale, but not knowing when it's going to happen could drive me crazy. :)
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter! We were very busy, but it was great. We spent the morning at church, followed by Josh's grandmother's house for an egg hunt and lunch. Avery and her cousin Blaine had a lot of fun hunting the eggs. She had to open each one and dump it out in her basket before on to the next one. We finished the day off at Josh's parents house for dinner. Avery had a great time chasing her cousin Dominic all over the deck and throwing the ball back and forth with him. They wore each other out. Once we were home, Avery finally got to see her basket with goodies in it. She liked the stuff, but liked the paper grass even better and managed to get it everywhere! What a great time! Enjoy a few vacation and Easter pictures :)
Evidently most of my vacation pics are on my phone, so I will try to add them here later.
