7 months

The past month has been one of my favorites so far! Avery has been so much fun and her personality is really starting to show. She is quite the babbler and will be as loud as she needs to be to be heard above the crowd. She is reserved with her giggles and only gives them to a few select people and even then we have to act crazy :) She gives her smiles and dimples pretty freely though. She has also discovered new consonants. She has a B, T and H sound now and has quite a few consonant/vowel combos.

She has been to her first graduation, graduation party, and the pool this month. Graduation bored her, so she babbled the whole time and stared at a little boy about her age. The party was a lot of fun and she loved watching the other kids play and even enjoyed being passed around a bit. Once at the pool, she loved the water! I was worried about it being too cold and her crying, but she laid back in her float and kicked and chewed on her toys. She even splashed and thought it was funny when the water would hit her in the face. I can't wait to spend long summer days in the pool with our floats! She also stayed with strangers at the YMCA daycare for the first time this past week. She was really good and didn't even mind me leaving. I think it was much harder for me than for her. It was nice to get back to the gym though, so I imagine that she will be spending a lot more time with them this summer.

This month she has really started working on her muscles too. She is rolling, sitting up better and better and is pushing her chest and belly off the ground to scoot backwards. I'm not quite ready for a mobile baby, but it's not going to be long now. I better get started on the baby proofing! We are still toothless, but the drool and chewing is in overdrive. She is loving solids and sits like a baby bird with her mouth open waiting on the next bite. This month we have introduced butternut squash, yellow squash, green beans, carrots (her least favorite), avocado, pears, applesauce, and bananas. Not sure what's next in line, but I'm sure she will love it!

She is up to 16 pounds 6 ounces, still wearing 6 month clothes, and size 3 diapers! I love being a mommy and she is the greatest baby I could have asked for! I can't wait to see what this next month has in store!
